PresidentGreetings, our “Kotcher’s Kapers” Golf outing is in the books and I have to say it was another spectacular and successful day for all. We had a beautiful day and everything went smoothly. I want to thank Jim Flannery who chaired this event and did another outstanding job along with Steve Graus and Jim Maniere for there had work and dedication to our club and also to the many other volunteers who made this event a great success. We could not have held this event without you, and all the proceeds go to help families and individuals in crisis situations.

 

I want to strongly encourage all of our members to support all of our events throughout the year because this is how we raise the funds to help those in crisis situations. Our requests for help continue to come in each month, and without the support of our membership attending our fundraising events, we would not be able to keep up with the requests for help.


I hope everyone has enjoyed this very warm and sometimes hot summer. I can hardly believe its almost over. Our kids are back in school, and fall will soon be upon us, which means our annual comedy night is fast approaching. Please mark your calendar for Saturday Nov.12th for an evening full of non stop laughs, good food, and friendship. This years event is being held at Barrister Gardens and is featuring Mark Knope. Mark last entertained for our club back in 2010 and this promises to be a great evening, so bring your spouse or significant other to this club function. Our other upcoming events include November 3rd, annual meeting and elections of Trustees at Barrister Gardens. I would ask all members to attend this special meeting. This is a complimentary evening to all members that is sponsored by your Crisis Club, and has a on going appetizer buffet and open bar. We are also looking for any member who would be interested in running for a seat as a Trustee. It does not require a lot of your time and meetings are once every other month, and is a very good opportunity to get involved as to what our crisis club is all about. Another event we have done in the past and will be coming back to the Crisis Club this December will be a charity poker event. This event will be held at the Sportsmans Bar and Grill in Utica, MI. We will need volunteers from our members for different evenings and hours. Most of our dates will be Sunday through Wednesday, with the hours between 5pm and 2am. Stay tuned for more details in our next newsletter.

 

In closing our next couple of Trustee meetings are on Wednesday Sept 14th, and Tuesday Nov. 8th 2016 at Gilbert’s Lodge in St Clair Shores. Meetings start at 6:45 promptly and last approx. 60 to 90 minutes. All members are welcome to attend. I strongly encourage everyone to come and get to know what our Crisis Club is all about. We do great things for people in need. I want to thank each and every member for all your continued support, and for all the good things we are doing for people
